We get it.  The music business is hurting.  Sales aren’t what they used to be.  But you know things are bad when a song created from a news interview and was supposed to simply create laughs, actually hits the Billboard Top 100.  Some of you may have seen the now famous news report of the guy who claims to have saved his sister from a rape.  There’s nothing funny about that.  However, the clip became an overnight sensation because of the… umm… special way he delivered his message.

Well someone has taken the news report, chopped it up and threw some Auto Tune on it, to create a remix song of sorts.  The track is labeled “Bed Intruder” and hit number 89 on the charts due to an immense amount of iTunes sales.  Its currently number 59 at the digital retailer.

Seriously?  This song is selling better than Kanye West‘s new single “Power,” Travie McCoy‘s “Billionaire,” and Justin Bieber‘s “Baby?”  Wow, no wonder labels are failing.

A couple of weeks ago, when Kanye West released his new single “Power,” a lot of his fan base was confused by the track being under 2 minutes long.  Well Kanye addressed the issue by doing a remix that is not only longer, but also includes Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz.  Have a listen to the track here as the song also takes a new direction as it brings in the sounds of Snap‘s 1990 hit, “The Power.”

The guys are scheduled to play 4 California shows starting on July 15th in San Diego.  The other cities in the Sunshine State they will be playing in are Los Angeles, Pomona and Oakland.  Francis & The Lights will also be performing at those shows except for the L.A. show at the Greek Theater.

New M.I.A. Remix with Nicki Minaj

Drake Replaces Plies On A Remix

On July 20th, Young Jeezy is scheduled to release his new album Thug Motivation 103.  One of the tracks on the disc is called “Lose My Mind” and features Plies.  But when it came time to remix the song, Jeezy replaced Plies with the hot kid of the minute, Drake.  Have a listen to the new mix of it.  And yes, this is the song the two performed last night on the BET Awards.

New Kelis Remix of “4th of July”

We already showed you the original video for the Dirty Money song “Hello, Good Morning.”  Well now here’s the remix edition which features Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj.  In all honesty, there’s not much difference between the two videos.  Just some visuals for the added versus.  Once again, the girls that are actually IN Dirty Money are the least featured.
