New Interpol Video

Have a look at the new video Interpol has released for the song “Barricade.”  The clip shows the band in a wide variety of new locations, however in none of them will you see their new bass player, David Pajo.  Was he just busy that day or do you think the band has told him he’s gotta stay out of the spotlight for a bit?

New MGMT Video

Tags: , ,

MGMT have released a new video for the title track off of their Congratulationsalbum.  The vibe of the song is melancholy, so it’s not overly surprising to see that the mood of the video is also gloomy and sad.  But to be honest, this is straight up depressing.  Have a look for yourself as Ben and Andrew follow a frail and dying creature through a desert.

Seeing as how this is the concept that made it, we would have given a limb to be a fly on the wall and hear all of the concepts which got turned down.  We’re betting their were probably a few other gems that got tossed out there.  Maybe none others that would have done a better job entertaining during a mushroom trip, but good ideas none the less.

New Arcade Fire Video

Have a look above at the newest video from Arcade Fire.  It’s for the song “Ready To Start” which comes from the band’s chart topping album, Suburbs.  If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to go to an Arcade Fire show, now you know.

Jay-Z / Sleigh Bells Mashup

Tags: , , , , , ,

Aside from Jay-Z being one of the most popular MC’s the industry has ever seen, he’s also one of the most widely used rappers in the mashup scene.  I mean, the guy put out an acapella version of The Black Album.  And that lead to a Jay-Z / Beatles mashup album produced by Danger Mouse, which lead to him becoming one of the most sought after producers, which lead to him becoming half of Broken Bells along side James Mercer.  Well we’re not sure what DJ O-Face has intentions of becoming, but he did take Jay’s vocals and lay them over the instrumentals of Sleigh Bells tracks.  You can take a listen to the full album below.

Our vote?  Dude’s got nothing on the Danger Mouse work.  But let us know your thoughts.
