Remember when we told you that Kanye West wanted to put himself, Raekwon and Justin Bieber on the same track?  Well he did.  It might not be an original track as he just took the instrumental from Wu-Tang Clan‘s 1993 song “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F’ Wit” and threw some new vocals on it.  But he did get the job done regardless.  And in record time.  Have a listen here to what they are calling “Runaway Love.”

Drake Stars In VMA Promo

MTV already used Justin Bieber for a commercial promoting the upcoming Video Music Awards.  This time, they called on Drake who appears in the clip above.  Check it out as they portray the hip hop artist as an old school crooner, ala Frank Sinatra. 

The show airs live (with a few seconds delay of course to stop any foul mouthed attendees from throwing around F bombs… note to MTV… keep Cee-Lo away) on September 12th from Los Angeles.  Will you be watching?

Kanye, Raekwon & Justin Bieber To Collaborate

Looks like this is actually gonna happen.  This past weekend, Kanye West started tweeting about being a fan of Justin Bieber.  The compliments went back and forth for a bit.  Then Kanye threw out the idea of putting the Bieb on a track he’s doing along with Wu-Tang‘s own, Raekwon.  Well XXL spoke to Raekwon over the phone yesterday (8/17) and got the low down…

“It’s definitely gonna happen. When you got these kinda talents merging together to do something exciting, I think it’s something that’s gonna make the fans check it out. I’m big fans of both of these guys. I think, at the end of the day, shorty is a sensation. And [for him] to acknowledge me it makes me feel good that the young generation is checkin’ me out like that. And at the same time it gives me a position to play a big brother in the game. He wants my assistance or whatever he can get it. I respect him, I like his style.”

“Yeezy called me and we gon’ make it pop. At the end of the day we’re all doing our thing in the game and for them to even just have a conversation and just put my name in it it feels good. It feels good to respect what I do and I respect what they do. And we gon’ make a hit. Justin got his own fan base and Me and Yeezy got our own fan base and we gon’ make it happen. We gon’ make a good record.”

We’re not sure we totally believe it, but according to this report, Justin Bieber is getting a $50 weekly allowance despite the millions he is making in the music business right now.  Apparently his mother and his manager want to make sure that they keep the pop star from getting too spoiled.  In a recent interview, the singer said the following…

“My mom wants me to learn how to be very smart with my money.  If I save [my allowance] for a week then I have a couple of hundred bucks that I can spend on something special.”

Come on.  Really?  $50?  The kid is 16 and he drives this car.  I think spoiled might be in his rear view mirror.

Following in the footsteps of pop stars who have come before him, like Justin Timberlake (who actually tried to sign the youngster, but eventually lost to Usher), Justin Bieber will be acting.  We’ve already seen him on SNL but now comes word that the teen heartthrob will be guest starring on CSI.  His role will be that of a troubled teen named Jason McCann who be forced to make some sort of big decision regarding his only brother.

To make sure that everyone knows he is taking this seriously, Bieber tweeted to his fans recently “morning world…we got the acting coach here….learning ‘a new craft.’”
